LV AC Chargers – Mandatory Mode 3 at 32A

EV Circular 02/2025 requires Mode 3 for AC chargers above 7.4 kW.

Any LV AC charger above 7.4 kW must now be Mode 3 (IEC 61851) with current control and a Type-B RCCB.

The DSO requires a licensed electrician certificate proving a dedicated 32A feeder and voltage-drop test.

Without the form the charger is not registered and cannot obtain the special EV tariff.
